Purpose of this Guide

This guide is meant to give information about a topic that is important to the history of international law and to give information about how to prepare a research paper on a topic that is narrow such as the IRA. Students that are taking public international law will most likely encounter cases and articles discussing the IRA in the context of international human rights law and law dealing with terrorism. This guide gives information about the topic and also gives an example about how to conduct research through many different relevant sources. The second page, entitled How to Conduct Your Research, gives basic information about how to begin a research paper with legal analysis.
