The insurance industry is regulated by both federal and state law but is generally a matter of state law. Insurance Law Practitioners usually deal with two types of insurance law: business insurance regulations and claim handling regulations. However, insurance law governs a diversity of topics including wage and hour laws, commercial liability, zoning and land use, tax laws, and securities regulations.
