Law library policies and services.

General Information - Sol Blatt, Jr. Law Library

The Barrister | Legal research, legal technology, the Supreme Court

Welcome to the Sol Blatt, Jr. Law Library!

We are dedicated to supporting your research and technology needs. The library maintains a print and electronic collection, including access to Westlaw Terminals for Faculty, Staff, Students, and Members of the Bar. The Library Staff meets our communities research and scholarship needs with research consultations, research course instruction, course reserves, Specialized collections, faculty services, and student research fellows.

Our team of professional, dual-degreed librarians are available to help assist with foundational and research queries. Our tech staff and student employees are here to assist with research requests, interlibrary loans, and tech support, available by appointment via email, phone, zoom consultation, or in person. Additionally, the law library employees several Law Student Research Fellows to help with foundational research inquiries at the Reference desk and Writing Center. The Fellows can help you develop research strategies, locate hard-to-find sources, and provide updates on current legal topics.

At our Circulation Desk, student employees can assist with checking in/out materials, reserving study rooms, and locating study aids. Our goal is to ensure 24/7 access to primary and secondary legal sources through a wide range of electronic materials, accessible both on and off-campus. Print and audiovisual resources are also available.

For assistance with technology, visit our IT Help Desk on the second floor, or contact us at itsupport@charlestonlaw.edu or 843.377.4050.

If you need help with course reserves, study rooms, or circulation questions, our Access Services Library Specialist, Tuan Anh Le, is available in office 123 next to the Circulation Desk, or at TAnhLe@charlestonlaw.edu.

For additional information about the Law Library and the resources available, including study rooms, please visit the library website at www.charlestonlaw.edu/library/. We look forward to working with you!
