The MBE, one of the three components of the UBE, is two examination periods of 3 hours each. The entire exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions, 175 of which are scored. It is administered on the second day of the South Carolina Bar Examination.
The 175 scored questions on the MBE comprise 25 questions from each of the following subject areas: Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law and Procedure, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts.
Your score is based on the number of correct answers, so it makes sense to answer all the questions, particularly as the MBE accounts for 50% of your score on the bar exam.
